Our Process

Time

Initial execution takes five months.  This includes discovery, design, coding, launching, and training staff how to update the site after the site has gone live.

Discovery

We begin by evaluating the current web site, business goals, industry and positioning challenges.  Upon completion of our discovery phase, we present our findings, which address visual cues, informational hierarchy, and online visibility strategies that are in line with the company’s established goals.

Additionally, a gray screen of the informational distribution on the web site pages is presented.  This gray screen is a visual representation of our findings.  The gray screen may be revised up to two times.

Design

Mood boards that represent fonts, typography, logo, colors and photographic standards are developed.  The mood boards form the foundation of visual layer of the web site.

Home page designs are created that are based off of all gathered information and findings.  One design may be selected and revised up to two times.  Next, internal designs are created for each internal page layout.

Content for the site is audited based on the search engine optimization recommendations established during the Discovery phase.

Development and QA

Once the internal page designs are finalized, the architecture for the site is created.  Typically, our sites are built in a WordPress framework.  The result is a user-friendly administration panel, allowing staff to add and edit content to the site. This framework is very search engine friendly as well.

While the site is being built, content is being incorporated into the site and the site’s functionality and appearance is thoroughly tested in the two most recent browser versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari on a PC and Mac.

The web site’s pages are individually optimized for search engine friendliness and staff members are trained how to login into the site, edit the site, and optimize edited content for search engine results..
